Monte Zoncolan, a pass with at least two “faces”…
Monte Zoncolan is located in the Carnic Alps and, at 1750 metres, is more of a moderate pass, were it not for the original, old east ramp and the west ramp. Coming from the east, a wide but winding ascent has now been created - due to the ever-growing ski area. However, there is still the old driveway, very narrow, winding and with poor tarmac. For the more experienced skier, however, it is a lot of fun. The west side, pictured here in the foreground, is just as winding, narrow and steep as the "old" east ramp - but the tarmac is in better condition. There are also a few tunnels that are low and unsuitable for motorhomes. High fun factor with a motorbike. The route starts in the east…
