The Passo Duran is a little-noticed but very interesting pass in the southern Alps and the foothills of the southern Dolomites. At 1605 metres, it is not particularly high, but the view towards the classic Dolomites (Sella circuit) is magnificent.
The tarmac is good, the road is very narrow in places and wonderfully winding in some areas.
As part of the Alpine Marathon 2022, this pass was the last stop on day 1. Started in Villach on Lake Faak, arrived in Agordo after 300 km and 9 passes.
